SURGERY INFORMATION

Information of each material

MATERIAL #1
코성형 재료
Ear cartilage

It is the most commonly used cartilage along with the nasal septum cartilage in nose surgeries. Sometimes, it is not big enough to elevate the nose tip to a certain range. So, it is good to use it with nasal septum cartilages.

MATERIAL #2
코성형 재료
Nasal septum cartilage

It is the most commonly used material in nose surgeries. Asians do not have a big size often. So, it is used along with donated costal cartilages.

MATERIAL #3
코성형 재료
Costal cartilage

It is solid, and the quantity is more than enough. But, patients must be put under general anesthesia, and a scar is left on the chest. So, it is autologous cartilage used only when there are no more nasal septum and ear cartilages left due to multiple surgeries.

MATERIAL #4
코성형 재료
Donated costal cartilage

Sometimes, nasal septum cartilages are not big enough to elevate the nose to a certain height. In these cases, donated costal cartilages are used to elevate the nose tip. Mighty does not use the donated costal cartilage alone. Rather, it is used to supplement the nasal septum cartilage.

MATERIAL #5
코성형 재료
Silicone

It is a prosthesis used for the longest time. Therefore, the safety has been verified. It is safe to use unless you try to elevate the nose excessively.

MATERIAL #6
코성형 재료
Mesh

It is an artificial material used as an alternative to nasal septum cartilage. However, Mighty does not use it.

SURGERY INFORMATION

Which material would be appropriate for the nose surgery?

콧대 이미지
CASE 01. Bridge
  • Silicone is the best choice. It creates the best shape, and its safety has been proven for a long time.

  • If your skin is thin and weak due to multiple surgeries, we recommend you to use your own skin.

CASE 02. Nose tip
  • For low nose tips

Nasal septum cartilages are the best materials to use. However, if the nasal septum cartilage is too small, it is better to put donated costal cartilage over it to create a more beautiful nose shape.

  • For not-so-low, not-so-high nose tips

For those who have a developed wing of the nose, ear cartilage would be enough to make a prominent nose tip.

  • For those who have nasal septum deviation

It is best to use nasal septum cartilage. By using nasal septum cartilage, it could cure nasal septum deviation. If the nasal septum cartilage is too crooked or small in size, ear cartilages or donated costal cartilage can be added to create a more beautiful nose shape.

  • For those who are having their 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th surgery

No choice but to use all remaining ear and nasal septum cartilages. If it lacks, autologous or donated costal cartilages can be used.
